Kathleen Sullivan Tyson
Co-Founder & Managing Director
Katie Tyson is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Clover Investment Group. She also leads Clover's Consulting practice.
A brand strategist, Katie has nearly 20 years of experience growing leading consumer brands including Residence Inn by Marriott, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and The Coca-Cola Company's DASANI™ bottled water. She specializes in brand strategy, brand positioning, strategic planning, product development, marketing, operations strategy, service culture development and sustainment, and strategic problem solving.
Before joining Clover, Katie served as Vice President, Global Brand Management, for Marriott's $3 Billion, 622-hotel up-market extended stay brand, Residence Inn by Marriott. In this capacity she grew market share, and Owner & Franchisee and guest satisfaction to historical highs. She redefined the brand's positioning and tone of voice, spearheaded development of innovative lobby and guest room designs, reinvigorated the brand's service culture and led the globalization of the brand into new markets including Latin America, Europe and the Middle East.
Katie also held other strategic brand leadership positions at Marriott International on brands including The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Marriott Hotels & Resorts and SpringHill Suites by Marriott.
Prior to joining Marriott, Katie held various Brand Manager positions at The Coca-Cola Company on brands including DASANI™, Mello Yellow and Barq's. Her responsibilities included business growth, brand strategy, strategic planning, consumer insights and marketing.
Katie's experience also includes leadership roles in Edelman Public Relations Worldwide's Financial Media Relations Group where she helped clients of all sizes, from a wide array of industries, strategically message and position themselves.
Katie received her MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Boston College.
